In cases where there is not enough bone volume to make an implant, surgical operations may be performed. These operations are;
Augmentation (bone augmentation):
It is the transplantation of bone from other parts of the jawbone to the area to be implanted due to long-term toothlessness or structural bone deficiencies. The main purpose of this treatment method is to increase the height and thickness of the bone and to place the implant.
Bone Powder Applications:
Sinus Operation; In cases where the upper jawbone is insufficient for implant application, it is the process of lifting the sinus membrane up by using biomaterials such as grafts (bone powder) and membranes. In this way, a longer jawbone of vertical size is provided and the implant is placedJaw Bone Expansion; In cases where the jaw bone is insufficient for implant application, it is the process of transverse expansion of the jaw bone. In this way, a thicker jawbone is provided in the horizontal dimension and the implant is placed.
